AGFD Good Funeral Awards
The AGFD ”Good Funeral Awards’ is an annual event that celebrates excellence in the funeral sector. In 2024 whiteballoon was delighted to win ‘Best Funeral Support’, as well as being selected as a Finalist in 2023 and receiving a nomination in 2022. There are 18 categories and finalists, and winners are selected by an independent panel of judges based on the strength of the nominations and a range of other criteria.

Greener Globe Funeral Standard
The Greener Globe Funeral Standard is a sustainability audit scheme for the funeral sector. It aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourages businesses to minimise their environmental impact. whiteballoon is proud to have achieved bronze status.

National Association of Funeral Directors
The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) aims to promote excellence in the sector. It provides members with resources to support them in delivering high standards of care to the bereaved and the deceased.

Association of Green Funeral Directors
The Association of Green Funeral Directors (AGFD) is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote and encourage environmentally sustainable funeral practices. It hosts the annual ‘Good Funeral Awards’ for the sector.

Funeral Suppliers’ Association
The Funeral Suppliers’ Association (FSA) links manufacturers and suppliers in the funeral sector. Their aim is to safeguard and improve the traditional high standards of products and services that their members provide.

SAIF
The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) was established to support independent, mostly family owned funeral directors. They provide advocacy, support and education for funeral directors, and guidance and protection for consumers.
