Shrouds and Ashes
I am a shroud maker and printer. The unique Shrouds and Ash Prints are designed and made by myself, artist Lena Sass.
The shrouds are made from sustainable and biodegradable fabrics, and each shroud is created for the individual. I use cyanotype process to make bespoke images using sunlight, a natural photographic process. The Ash prints are made from cremation ash through a method of separating the particles creating a pattern unique to that person, rather like a thumb print.
