End of Life Planning

Why it Makes Sense to Plan Ahead

The one certainty in life is death. Even though we all know this to be true, very few of us want to think about it, much less plan for it. Putting your affairs in order and writing down your wishes means that, when the time comes, your loved ones can focus on grieving for you, rather than having the anxiety of making difficult choices or second guessing what you might have wanted.

Our Planning Ahead Checklist summarises some of the things to consider and the Letter of Funeral Wishes template enables you to record your wishes.

Print this out and keep it in a safe place (together with your Ideas Folder, if you have one). Be sure to let those closest to you know that you have done this, and where they can find the documents.

Finding Help and Support

There are many wonderful organisations out there who can provide a listening ear or practical support. They understand what you are going through and can point you towards the right help and services for you.
