Lost in the Clouds
Tomm Tinn-Disbury

‘Lost in the Clouds: a gentle story to help children understand death and grief’ by Tomm Tinn-Disbury is about Billy, a little boy who misses his mummy dreadfully. Imagining that his mummy is up in the clouds helps Billy to feel closer to her. When the clouds are white and puffy and the sun is shining Billy feels happier, but when the day is dark and stormy he feels really sad and alone.
This beautifully illustrated book follows Billy and his father as they navigate the loss of Billy’s mother, exploring the nature of grief and how to deal with the death of a loved one.
Written in collaboration with a grief professional, this book also has a non-fiction page with advice about how to start difficult conversations with young children about death and bereavement.
