Although the ground is not consecrated, most have designated areas for different religions or cultures. There are also cemeteries provided for the exclusive use of specific religious groups.

They provide a sanctuary where family and friends can come together to honour and celebrate the life of their loved one, and to feel a sense of closeness and connection with them.
