Most mourners will make their own way to a funeral, but traditionally, family and close friends may travel in a funeral courtege, either in their own cars or in those hired for the purpose.

If you have large numbers of mourners, it may be appropriate to hire something larger, such as a minibus or coach, particularly if the funeral is taking place some distance away or somewhere with poor public transport.

If reducing the carbon footprint of the funeral is important to you, you may want to encouraging mourners to car-pool, take public transport, or use group transport such as a coach of minivan. Your funeral arranger may be able to co-ordinate this for you, or ask family or friends to help.
