When darkness descends and the shadows fall,
You’re my shining beacon, illuminating the way.
Love glows from your spirit even after you’ve gone;
It’s the light by which I see with each passing day.
I feel your warmth beside me, closer than my tears
And your memory is evergreen and unfading.
The vibration of your melody resonates in my soul,
As your song of beauty plays on, alive and unwavering.
To hear your voice and laughter, I listen to my heart,
For I’ll carry you inside ’til my final breath of air.
Through each sunrise and sunset and all my tomorrows,
Wrap me in your wings so there’ll be no loss to bear.
