Legacy & Life Workshop

Businesses are increasingly prioritising the health and well-being of their employees and colleagues. Experiential workshops are a great way to engage and inform people, whilst also helping to foster team building and an open and supportive workplace culture.

In February, we were delighted to deliver our first ‘Legacy & Life’ workshop for top law firm Shakespeare Martineau, in partnership with huunuu, providers of experiential and wellbeing training.

What is the ‘Legacy & Life’ Workshop

The Legacy & Life workshop is an interactive session which provides a space for people to engage in conversations around end-of-life planning and personal legacy.

Reflecting on life’s end can help people to think about what is truly important to them and to identify their core values and goals. This, in turn, helps them to clarify the steps needed to both plan for the future and enrich their lives in the present.

What Does the Workshop Cover?

Legacy & Life workshops can be customised according to the specific requirements of each organisation. We provide a menu of ideas and options from which to choose. Here are some examples:

  • Practical tasks such as making a Will or a Lasting Power of Attorney
  • Exploring ideas around personal legacy and how people would like to be remembered
  • Steps to living a more purposeful life
  • What can be done to achieve this, and what gets in the way
  • Thoughts and ideas around end-of-life
  • The importance of having open conversations with loved ones
  • Recording end-of-life and funeral wishes
  • Coping with death, grief and bereavement in the work environment

Using huunuu‘s brightly coloured tabletop workmats, the workshop leads participants through a journey of discovery. These customised workmats provide a focus for discussions, stimulate conversation, and create a sense of shared experience. They are also used to record thoughts and ideas.

Where Does the ‘Legacy & Life’ Workshop Take Place?

The Legacy & Life workshop can be held at the premises of the host company or at a hired venue. The location will depend on the number attending, which can be anything from 10 – 300 people.

Workshops can be in-house, for colleagues, or can include external participants such as clients. They can be held as a single 1 1/4 hour session that fits neatly around a lunch break, as a longer half- or full-day workshop, or as a series of sequential and complementary sessions.

Legacy & Life can also be held online in a slightly different format.

How Much Does it Cost to Host a Workshop?

Each workshop is tailored to the needs of the host. The cost will depend on the length and content of the session, the number of people attending, and the location. We are happy to work with you to fit around your needs and your budget.
