A gathering after a funeral or memorial service is an opportunity for friends and family to spend time together and to remember and celebrate the life of the person who has died. Sharing stories and memories, laughing and crying, can provide much needed release and support.
There are no rules, the occasion can be as simple or as elaborate as you like. The main thing is to organise something that you are comfortable with and that you feel the person whose life you are celebrating would have wanted.
